Burwood urban design review
Asked to review a rezoning proposal for a number of street blocks, we examined urban design parameters such as road widths, building height and building separation, privacy and shadowing. Our conclusions were that the height proposed should be reduced and building separation also reduced to Apartment Design Guide standards. The yield from the allotments which made up the study area increased a little but within an appropriate relationship to existing development.
